Description

Mega Beedrill reprises its role from base game as a speedy glass cannon. Radical Red allows Beedrill the luxury of a stronger poison-type move in Gunk Shot that allows it to hit 1.5x harder with its best STAB. --- Generally the way you want to use Mega Beedrill is as a pivot following a KO to finish the opposing Pokemon or as a reliable method to get substantial physical chip damage with U-Turn, harnessing reliable sweeping potential with Fell Stinger for weakened enemies. Drill Run allows Beedrill to hit steel types and provides a marginal damage increase to standard poison types compared to its resisted STABs, but should be reserved generally for an assured KO as Beedrill does poorly against opposing bulky Pokemon. --- Other options may allow Mega Beedrill to make use of Knock Off over Drill Run for better utility and effectiveness against ghost types, or Poison Jab over Gunk Shot for a more reliable STAB at the cost of significant damage potential.

Description

Mega Beedrill is probably the best Pokemon for the Cerulean Archer fight. It outspeeds and OHKOs everything except Landorus. Gunk Shot kills Ninetails and Houndoom, Pin Missile kills Sunflora and Exeggutor. When Landorus comes out you'll need to switch into something that kills it (most ice types work). Then Beedrill needs to come back in safely without taking damage. Reflect is in the fourth slot because Houndoom will usually go for Sucker Punch. Use Reflect once and then attack and you should be safe. Overall a very clean strategy that only requires hitting 2 80% accurate moves.
