Description

Incineroar is widely feared as one of the most powerful and dangerous Pokemon of VGC for a reason. And even though it might not be as powerful in Radical Red, it is more than capable of holding its own even against the Hardcore E4. Flare Blitz is the obvious STAB Fire move, while Fake Out allows Incineroar to break Sashes. The choice between Darkest Lariat and Knock Off mainly boils down to personal preference, and Close Combat is an incredible coverage move that deals a lot of damage despite the lack of STAB. Incineroar has favorable matchups against Snow Lorelei's Chien Pao and Mega Abomasnow, and it can endure the onslaught of Blizzards with Assault Vest. Against Bruno, Incineroar works best against his Urshifu lead, as it will survive Close Combat thanks to Intimidate and Fake Out + Close Combat allows it to KO Urshifu in return. Incineroar excels against HC Agatha with Assault Vest, as it makes Calyrex-S and Flutter Mane look like ZU garbage with how easily it can tank their hits and destroy them with its STABs. Against Lance, Incineroar is best utilized with a Choice Band to hit either Melmetal or Primal Dialga as hard as possible (although it works better against Melmetal thanks to Intimidate). As for the champ battles, Incineroar admittedly doesn't have the best matchups against any of them, but it can possibly beat Arceus-Normal through a combination of burning it with Will O Wisp, Intimidate, and whacking it with Close Combats. Incineroar isn't a mon that can be carelessly thrown against any enemy in the Hardcore E4 and expect to win. But when played to its strengths and against the right matchups, Incineroar can absolutely pull its weight.
