Version 4.1 has blessed Porygon-Z with an incredible signature item: Upgrade. Granting +1 speed at the cost of a permanent Torment effect, P-Z turns from a respectable special attacker to an incredible revenge killer and sweeper. Tri Attack is your big straightforward stab attack, doing good damage to neutral targets. Dark Pulse compliments this move well, hitting the Ghost types immune to Tri. Psychic hits Fighting types that threaten you, and Ice Beam and Thunderbolt are generally good coverage moves to have.. You can also choose to mix and match the moves more, such as dropping Dark Pulse to run BoltBeam. Nasty Plot gives Porygon-Z more power to blast through entire teams with ease, but its frailty can make this tricky to set up at times. If you know P-Z is going down, Hyper Beam lets it deal as much damage as possible to the opponent before heading out, possibly even one shotting them. Download is my preference for the ability since the Torment effect prevents you from clicking Tri Attack over and over like you’d want to with Adaptability. You just have to know which opponents will give the Download special attack boost to use it most effectively.
