Description
Giovanni's Silph Co. battle can be a pain if you don't have options to deal with a sand sweeping team. On top of sand threats like Garchomp and Excadrill, his Mega Kangaskhan is always a threat, with Garganacl providing residual damage with Salt Cure, and a shell smashing Torterra as a threat in the back. Chesnaught's natural bulk and attack, together with the usefulness of the grass type defensively in this matchup can turn this battle into a breeze. Hippowdon can be easily dispatched while getting one Bulk Up boost, however look to boost on turn 2 to avoid Hippowdon using Roar. Chesnaught can then easily set up the rest of the way on either Garchomp or Excadrill and sweep the rest of Giovanni's team using Horn Leech. Leech Seed allows for passive recovery along side Leftovers when setting up in front of Garchomp or Excadrill and Hammer Arm allows to hit Mega Kangaskhan super effectively if it comes in before Garchomp or Excadrill.
