Description

Mega Swampert is a surefire consistent choice for Rain Teams, Its good bulk, offenses, and Swift Swim makes it a remarkable Rain Abuser. Radical Red hasn't necessarily buffed Mega Swampert in any way, The closest to that is make Aqua Tail 100% Accurate giving it the best Physical water STAB it can, Although this is very much interchangeable with Waterfall. A slightly weaker option with a 20% flinch chance. --- Earthquake is a very obvious choice of move for Swampert. A Powerful 100 BP Accurate 0 Drawback STAB move. Now comes the variety of the last 2 slots, Flip Turn is a Pivoting move that can make use of rain. Bulk Up and Power Up Punch is a good way to raise your attack stat to fire off even more powerful Earthquakes and Aqua Tail's, Making it a solid choice given the situation. Lastly we have Stealth Rocks, It's a hazard move and can easily be used due to Swampert's amazing bulk. It helps a lot vs those pesky Sturdy or Focus Sash Pokemon that your bound to encounter in your journey. --- To make complete use of Mega Swampert's kit it is highly recommended pairing it with a Rain Setter such as Pelipper, Kyogre, Politoed.

Description

When paired with Flip Turn Politoed holding a Damp Rock, Mega Swampert sweeps both Cinnabar Island May and Clair's gym battle on Minimum Grinding Mode. Liquidation, Ice Punch, and Earthquake are the attacking moves of choice, while Power-Up Punch is required to gain the two attack boosts needed to KO everything. After using Flip Turn on the leads with Politoed, Power-Up Punch twice to kill the Solrock/Aerodactyl, Mega Evolving on the second turn Swampert is out to outspeed the lead. Damp is required to prevent Solrock from using Explosion on the first turn Swampert is out. Even if Flip Turn landed a critical hit to bring the leads down to sash, Mega Swampert easily lives a hit from Relicanth, Roaring Moon, or Dragonite, the Pokemon that you need the second Power-Up Punch for. From there, you have five turns of rain and five Pokemon in the back. It's a riskless two mon fight with two guaranteed encounters.
